Blowin' In The Wind

I woke up crying this morning. I dreamed my gran had died.

It's been a very windy day (@10:45 A.M. - 34 mph, gusts to 51; @1:25 p.m. - 31 mph, gusts to 40) with only a little rain, unfortunately. We really needed some rain. The sun made its first appearance at 3:03 p.m. As of 7 p.m., the winds have died down to around 10 mph. Down toward Evansville, my dad & step-mom were without power for quite a while. Elsewhere in Princeton, the power was out for a little while, but where I live the power never went out. There were a couple moments when it spiked a little or fell off a bit making the UPS kick on for a few seconds. Good riddance to Ike.

Workout

I don't have any viable excuse for not running today. I'd intended to, but I guess intentions don't count for much when there is a half-marathon looming just a month away. Long run is slated for tomorrow morning assuming the wind isn't blowing 20 mph.

Food

Breakfast: 8:20 a.m. banana, black plum, kiwi, blueberries, 1/2 oz almonds.
Morning Snack: 10:55 a.m. 3 Triscuits & honey, Diet Coke.
Lunch: 1:00 p.m. big salad - mixed baby greens, radishes, red bell pepper, cucumber, grape tomatoes, 1/2 oz sunflower seeds, raspberry balsamic vinegar, Kraft parmesan cheese, 1 oz Kashi Honey Sesame crackers.
Afternoon Snack: 2:20 p.m. 1 oz Kashi Honey Sesame crackers, Diet Coke.
Supper: 6:30 p.m. Archer Farms porcini mushroom whole wheat macaroni & cheese, apple, 6 dark Kisses.
Evening Snack: n/a

Yeah, I ate the the whole box of mac & cheese, but ~800 calories of that is better than double those calories or more of pizza. At least with the mac & cheese, I got 15 grams of fiber (whole wheat!) and 33 grams of protein. I didn't add the tablespoon of butter the instructions called for. It tasted pretty good, tho: mushroomy and not really all that cheesy. If I'd been dying for cheesy, well, then it'd have to have been Kraft.
