Warm Run, Cool Evening

Workout

September 20
9:15 a.m. CT
Warm up: .45 mile walk
Distance: 6.48 miles
Duration: 1:09:27
Pace ave: 10:43
HR ave 159, max 183
Cool down: .45 mile walk
@start: 69, 79%, partly cloudy, SSE@4
@end: 76, 58%, sunny, SSW@4

As expected, I got out the door later than usual, and the temps were definitely warmer. Despite the warmth, this was a really good run. It was perhaps a little faster than I should have gone, but it was nice to hit this pace and feel good the entire way. I added some mileage to the route by running north to Warnock and back and then later on in the run by going east to Madison and back (which added a hill x 2 that I really didn't need, mais c'est la vie!).

I didn't notice the soreness in my calves while I was running, but I did during the cool down walk. The left ankle didn't seem quite so twinge-y as it has been the past few days.

Tomorrow is a long run, preferably 13-14 miles. I SO don't want to run the usual hilly long run route, though. I guess I could do today's course twice, but that's kind of a bit too much of the same thing. Better than all those hills, though.

Food

Breakfast: 11:00 a.m. banana, green grapes, clementine, 1/2 oz almonds.
Lunch: 2:30 p.m. cinnamon roll, 4:00 p.m. corn dog with a little ketchup.
Afternoon Snack: 4:30 p.m. kettle corn, 5:15 celery.
Supper: 8:30 p.m. chicken & dumplings, 6 SweetTarts.
Evening Snack: 10:00 p.m. lots of kettle corn.

Yikes!

The chicken & dumplings were very delicious! The cinnamon roll was definitely yummy. The corn dog was fresh out of the cooker. Kettle corn was very good. Yum.

You were eating kettle corn from 4:30 till 5? Half an hour? You must've finished the bag! :-)

Well, as a matter of fact, I did eat about 90% of it the day I got it. Doh! Finished it up the next day. Back to more healthful eating for a while now.
