I went to Swift Athletics today to get a new pair of shoes. They don't carry Nike, which I knew before I went. I had them analyze my foot strike (as expected, neutral). They recommended about 4 shoes which I tried on. I really liked the Brooks Dyad, but I want to try it in a 1/2 size larger before buying a pair. They were out of stock of 8 1/2's, so they will call when they get them in. I went ahead and got new pair of Nike Air Pegasus at Dick's, though. I'll get the Dyad's whenever they come in at Swift. While there, I also picked up a couple packets of Clif Shots and some Gu.

This was an ok run, not bad, not great. Definitely chilly. I wanted to do 4 loops in Northbrook Hills, but ran out of oompf after lap three. The loop part of the route has a long uphill going up Cottonwood and the corresponding long downhill on Pinecone & Hawthorne. This route also goes right by Gran & Granddad's, so stopped by on the way back for a few minutes.
Tomorrow is normally a rest day, but I think I'm going to do about 8 miles instead and then do a short run Saturday morning. Saturday is also Corn Nuts Day (another trip to the farrier)! Yay! There is a horse show at the Vanderburg County 4-H Center on Sunday afternoon, but it doesn't start until 1 p.m., so I'll have enough time to do my regular long run that morning.
