Off the Couch ... Finally

The every-other-day-or-so cold front is blowing through at the moment. Purdue lost to Illinois tonight in overtime. Woe.

Workout

December 30
3:58 p.m. CT
Warm up: .45 mile walk
Distance: 3.09 miles
Duration: 32:44.3
Pace ave: 10:35
HR ave 166, max 182
Cool down: .45 mile walk
@start: 57, 37%, sunny, SSW@18/gusts to 25 mph
@end: 55, 41%, clear, SSW@16/gusts to 22 mph

I finally got of my backside and hit the pavement. It's been "only" twelve days instead of a full two weeks since my last run. What did I expect to happen during that time? Things to get better?! Not. Duh. Pace was 4 seconds slower than my last run over the same course, and my average HR was 4 beats higher. Yeah, the wind was blowing harder, but the route is in town, so I don't exactly get the full brunt of it.

My left ankle was still little twingy on the inside (after about 2 miles), but it doesn't ache now.

All in all, it was a good run, and it felt great to be outside running, especially since the weather was so nice.

Food

Late morning & afternoon: 7 cherries, 2 Wild Cherry Lifesavers, Triscuits, 2 wedges of Laughing Cow spreadable Swiss, a bunch of prunes, Diet Coke.
Supper: @Mom's - AJ's pizza, lots of Christmas treats.

Morning Stats

weight: well, uh, I avoid looking at the scales. Jeans that were very loose fit again. Yikes. That's what a month of very little running and quite a lot of eating crap will do for you.
