Steamy 4.5

I had a really nice time in Florida. On Sunday, we went to see Star Trek on an IMAX screen. Monday we wached the launch of the space shuttle Atlantis. We were about 7 miles away from the launch pad across open water along with a zillion other people. It was a great experience. Monday night late, we had sushi. Tuesday was a tour and tasting at the Lake Ridge Winery. Today we had lunch at Houston's with one of Mike's very best friends whose comment about the weather here is that it's hot, hotter, really hot, and hell. Tonight, we're going to see the Blue Man Group at Universal. Tomorrow we're heading to Daytona Beach. On Friday we're going ecocaching with a group of Mike's friends. I forgot the plan for Saturday. I'll probably head back north sometime on Sunday. Maybe Saturday is the botanical gardens. Hmmm. Anyway, it's been great to get out of Indiana and go somewhere different.

Workout

May 13, Wednesday
8:19 a.m. CT
Warm up: .5 mile walk
Distance: 4.5 miles
Duration: 48:54
Pace ave: 10:52
HR ave 160, max 174
Cool down: .5 mile walk
@start: 76, 82%, sunny, E@6
@end: 82/85, 65%, partly cloudy, ESE@8
Shoes: Pegasus 25

Ugh! The heat/humidity. First run since this past Saturday's 10k race. I felt ok, aside from the weather. When the sun was behind a cloud, I was in the shade, and the breeze was hitting me, it really wasn't too bad. Then there was the rest of the loop ... :-) Will aim to do 3 loops tomorrow, 2 on Friday, 4 loops on Saturday and/or Sunday. It's a 2.25 mile loop.

Food

I haven't been doing the food diary for a few days. Probably won't while I'm in Florida, either. I haven't been doing all that badly with what I've been eating, but it's too much a pain in the posterior to try to estimate how much I've eaten and what's in the various dishes, etc.
