Big Hill, Dead Legs

Run 29:43 [28:18.9 @turnaround (11:19 pace)], walk 2:00, run 2:15, walk 2:00, run 7:45, walk 2:00, run 8:00, walk 2:00, run 3:45. The hill was hard work on the way out and harder on the way back. No get-up-and-go left. Should’ve done a 3-miler instead. I was a little surprised at the lack of sustainable power in my legs, especially since I took yesterday off other than walking a total of about 3 miles spread across 3 walks (post office/courthouse, to grandparents, from grandparents).

Warm up: walk 1/2 mile

Total time: 59:31.7

Breakfast: Kashi GoLean with soymilk, blueberries, and cinnamon.

Last night, I ate the rest of the garbonzo bean/portobella/onion/bell pepper stuff I prepared while in West Lafayette. I also cooked a pound of kale but was stuffed from the soup stuff, so didn't eat much of it.

This morning, I watched a couple videos on YouTube showing green smoothies being made. The first video below uses kale, spinach, apple, bananas, and berries. I'm going to give it a try today assuming my blender will handle it. It's not just the juice: it's the whole shebang.
