Windy, Windy West

A cold front blew through last night, and the forecast at Williston, ND, calls for winds out of the west at 24 mph gusting to 35. That ought to make for some stellar gas mileage. :-(

Before I headed out of Minot, I stopped at the Scandinavian Heritage Park. Definitely a worthwhile stop!

Since I got on the road at a decent time, I decided to just go all the way to Ralston instead of spending the night in Havre, MT. I crossed the border at White Horse. There are 43 miles of nothing between Havre and the border, and then 70 more miles of nothing from the border to the TransCan. Yeah, Elkwater is in there somewhere, but it's off the highway a bit.

how long you have wait in wild horse to cross border - three hours? four?

what was at Scandavian Culture -- massive piles of Velveeta?

Waited about 6 or 8 minutes. There was a mini-van already there when I arrived. It took them a few minutes to do whatever paperwork they had to do for whatever they were carrying in the van.

Check out the link to the Scandinavian Center. There are pics of what is there. No Velveeta, but there is a huge, orange horse!
