Home Again, Home Again, Jiggity Jig

I'm back! It's good to be home. My cats & dogs are always so glad to see me. I'm sure they'll be pretty perplexed when I head out again so soon tomorrow morning to go to Dallas for Gene's memorial service.

I had a great trip and will write more about it later at some point. I only ran twice about a week apart, once in Deepcut, Surrey, on one of my favorite running routes and once in Belfast. Both were really good runs and about 6-6.5 miles in length.

My diet was disastrous. I did okay for a couple days, but then it was a pretty steep downhill to a big valley of chips (fries), Penguins, Blue Riband, Walker's crisps (chips), Tayto crisps, Maud's icecream, and lots of pub grub (which tasted really good), beer (not much ... a pint a day for the most part). Once again, I'm afraid to even think about putting my feet on the scales. Might do it in the morning. Sometimes ignorance truly is bliss, though.

The price of gas was down to $2.15 when I got back. In the UK, it was down to 95-99 pence a liter (about $3.60/gallon). I'd rather pay $4 for gas and have the value of my investments go back up to where it was a few months ago, though!
