Leaves, Leaves, Leaves, and More Leaves

After my run and breakfast, I mowed my leaves. Yes, the leaves. I have what has to be one of the biggest maple trees on the planet in my back yard, so I ran the mower over them to mulch them into tiny bits to keep the organic matter that came from my little plot in my little plot. Since I had the mower out, I went ahead and mowed the leaves on the rest of my yard. Pulled out the shop vac and vacuumed up the patio and blew bits off part of the drive. I didn't bother with it that much: strong wind and lots of leaves still on the trees and lots and lots of big trees in the neighborhood.

I finally made it to the grocery store. Yay.

Was doing ok through ~4 miles, but was feeling a little tight in the hip flexors and lower back so walked for a minute, then ran another mile. At that point, my brain decided it didn’t want to run anymore. Bored to tears, I think. Walked 3 minutes, ran 43 seconds, walked 4.5 minutes, and then decided it’d be more interesting to run hard for a block, walk a block. Did that 6 times, and then ran 6 minutes the rest of the way home.
