Stupid Ankle

I read the One Dollar Diet Project blog today. As a project, a couple decided to eat on $1 or less each per day for 30 days.

My very first horse, Tarzan, died on this day back in 1980 or so.

I woke up crying again this morning (what's up with all these tear-jerkers lately?!?). I don't know where I was in the dream (Dallas, I think), but in the the dream I saw and talked to Gene & thought he was still alive but then realized he wasn't.

Workout

November 30
1:14 p.m. CT
Warm up: .8 mile walk
Distance: ~8 miles
Duration: 1:46:17
Pace ave: 10:50 for 1st 3 miles, ~15:00 last 3 miles when walking
HR ave 137, max 167 (ave 113 during last 45 minutes when walking)
@start: 38/30, 90%, cloudy, W@13
@end: 38/31, 85%, cloudy, WSW@10

So much for a 14-miler. The run started out just peachy keen. My left ankle started acting up a little around 2.5 miles, but nothing particularly noteworthy until an uphill around 3.5 miles. Walked 3 minutes and it felt better, so I started running again. Uphills = not good. Grrrr. Walked/ran some more. After about 5.25, I gave up the ghost, cut the route short, and walked the roughly three miles back home. It's very tender right above the inside ankle bone. The right ankle had a few achey moments, but nothing like the left one.
