I had a great trip to Dallas this past week. The race was less than stellar for a number of reasons, but getting to see good friends again more than made up for it.
I went to Indy this afternoon to pick up Eddie at the airport. That 2.5-3 hour drive each way seems like a piece of cake compared to the haul from Big D. We stopped in Mooresville and had supper with my cousin & her hubby.

I was very sore after Sunday's half marathon in Dallas, so I gave my body three days to get over it. I don't recall ever being that sore after a half before. Of course, I hadn't run a step during the two weeks preceding it.
Today's run was good. My lungs still aren't completely clear, so my breathing was a little harder than I'd have preferred. For the first time ever, I had a little discomfort on the outside of my right knee (iliotibial band, presumably). Gotta get that under control now.
Food
Breakfast: 10:50 a.m. 2 packets Kashi vanilla oatmeal, cinnamon, 2 packets Splenda.Lunch: 1:10 p.m. Progresso Garden Vegetable soup, Triscuits, canned clementines.
Afternoon Snacks: @Indy Airport - 5:30 p.m. (ET) Peanut M&M's, Diet Coke.
Supper: @Gray Bros (Mooresville) - 7:30 p.m. fried catfish, spinach, mac & cheese, ice tea, butterscotch pie.
My general eating habits have deteriorated considerably since going to the UK in October. It's time to get serious about eating better (most of the time, at any rate). Eddie will be here for two weeks, so it'll be more of a challenge than were I on my own. For that reason, I'll aim for 2 meals a day being "good" and the third being whatever it turns out to be. Maybe.
