Quantum of Solace

I went to see Quantum of Solace this evening with Jeff & Amy. While it wasn't the standard Bond flick, I thoroughly enjoyed it. The chase scenes were terrific ... got my adrenaline flowing a bit and the ol' heart rate up. I hope the Bond franchise sticks with Daniel Craig. He makes a great 007 on many levels.

This afternoon, I felt an unexpected compulsion to go buy food for the Salvation Army, so away I went to the grocery. Spent about $90 and got dried beans, rice, oats, pasta (whole grain, even), canned veggies and fruit, Jello, corn flakes, loaf of bread (had a coupon to get a free loaf), corn meal. I left it all in the car and will haul it to the Salvation Army tomorrow when I'm there for the Kiwanis lunch meeting (my mom finally talked me into going).

Today, I noticed a little bit of a tickle at the back of my throat and my head is a bit achey. Yesterday, my right ear was making sqishy sounds like it had some extra fluid in it. I hope I'm not getting sick!
