Tomorrow is race day, a 2-miler in Evansville. Given that my breathing hasn't been so great lately, I don't have much optimism for a good result. Assuming, I get in a decent warm-up of a slow mile+ jog, I'd be ecstatic with a 9:00 pace, but happy enough with 9:30. It's just 2 miles. I ought to be able to deal with a lot of discomfort for such a short distance, assuming I don't keel over from lack of oxygen.

Felt like I was lumbering along today. My stomach was sloshing, my gut was rumbling a bit, my legs seemed heavy, and my breathing still wasn't back to "normal." In spite of all that, I set a course PR (by just 3 seconds) without having any intention of trying to do so.
