This has been a glum sort of day. I'm very worried about my kitty, Mary. I'm anxious about going to Calgary. I was looking at some technical stuff today and feel pretty stupid and incompetent as a result. I wish I were elsewhere. Bah.
Late this afternoon, I went with my aunt to take one of her horses to a trainer in Linville. She has some busted ribs (cinch strap broke on the saddle & she hit the ground) and doing much of anything causes her a lot of pain, so I loaded & unloaded the horse, schlepped the two bags of horse feed, scooped the poo out of the trailer, climbed up in the loft and tossed down a bale of hay. No big deal, but it'd would have been excruciating had she tried it by herself. Makes me feel useful, too. Being useful is good.

This was a good run. Felt better the last 2 miles than the first 3, for sure, even though it was getting to be too warm. I've been noticing lately that the first 1/2 to 1 mile doesn't feel very good, almost as if I hadn't been running in months, but then my legs start to feel better and my breath evens out, and the run starts to become easier.
Food
My Food Diary on CalorieKing.comMorning Stats
I usually weigh right after I get up and use the restroom. Then I eat whatever I'm going to eat and drink a big glass of water and head out the door for a run which means I'm losing more fluid during the run than it appears at first glance.
