It's Corn Nuts Day!!

Today was "farrier day" which also translates to "stop-at-the-Hucks-in-West-Salem-and-get-Corn-Nuts day." I almost had some last week when Eddie & his daughters were here, but told myself that Corn Nuts are only for "farrier day." As usual, they tasted yummy. After several successful trips to West Salem stopping at the Huck's each time and avoiding the stacks of mulch they sell, my aunt snagged a bag with the horse trailer today. At least it wasn't totally mangled and destroyed. She'd done it once before sometime shortly before I started making the trip with her. We had a good chuckle about it.

Workout

July 16:
5:48 a.m. CT
Distance: 3.09 miles
Time: 51:24
Pace: 16:38
HR Max: 116
HR Ave: 98
@start: 64, 95%, sunny, calm
@end: 64, 96%, sunny, calm

I just walked today. Since it was an early departure to the farrier, I didn't have a lot of time anyway to do a longer run along with the usual 1/2 mile warm up and cool down (although "cool down" is somewhat metaphorical this time of year). Even with that, the pace wasn't all that hard. I've done the 6-mile route averaging a smidgen under 15:00 pace before.

Food

Breakfast: Iced Oatmeal Raisin Luna Bar
Morning Snack: Ranch Corn Nuts, artificially sweetened ice tea
Lunch: Arby's Martha's Vineyard salad (used only about 1/3 of the dressing packet), unsweetened ice tea
Afternoon Snack: 1/2 oz salted cashews
Supper: Amy's Mexican Casserole bowl, Rainier cherries
