Decent Kids & 1.72 Miles Uphill

The kids at school were pretty decent today. I worked with 3 groups of 2 on using scales to weigh various items after first estimating their weights based on how heavy they felt relative to the known weight of another object. I'm going back tomorrow and will be working with about 5 kids on their reading skills.

Saturday is farrier day. After we get back from the farrier, we are going to Lynnville to pick up my aunt's third horse which has been there for some additional training for about three weeks.

Workout

November 19
5:30 p.m. CT
Warm up: .5 mile walk
Distance: 3.72 miles
Duration: 43:28
Pace ave: 11:32
HR 1st mile ave 140, max 150; P5L7 ave 170, max 180; last mile ave 158, max 175.
Cool down: .5 mile walk

Treadmill day: 1 mile at 1% incline, 5.2 mph; 1.72 miles using the pre-programmed hill intervals at level 7 (P5L7: 20 minutes@5.2 mph with incline at [4%, 8%, 4%, 6.5%] x 5); 1 mile at 1% incline, 5.2 mph. This was an uncomfortable workout, but not torturous. It would have turned into torture had I gone through P5L7 a second time. Yikes.

Lunch: 11:45 a.m. beef jerky, oatmeal cookies, Diet Coke.
Supper: 7:10 p.m. edamame, tomato, 1/2 apple, baked Tostitos, queso, Diet Coke.
