Thanksgiving Day Feasts

Thanksgiving Day! I had lunch at my dad's. My brother & his family (including their new dog, Bogey) came down from West Lafayette. My step-grandma was over from outside St. Louis. It was a nice get together.

My brother (& his family & dog) and I went up to my aunt's for supper. My grandparents had already gone back to Princeton around 3:30 p.m. - they had to make sure they were back before dark and it would be getting dark any minute. Sigh. Aside from the lack of grandparents and a couple cousins, this was a great evening, too. I miss the "good ol' days" when the whole family was together, though.

Another pretty day. It sure warmed up very quickly, and I was overly warm by halfway through the run. I still didn't feel all that peppy while running. BOTH ankles were achey today, especially the left one. It's still bothering me this evening. I'm glad tomorrow is a rest day. I may take a short walk, though, to see if it bothers me with just walking or not. I wonder if the treadmill running is having adverse effects on it?

I did this route in the exact same time back in October of last year. Today, my average and max heart rates were 3 bpm lower than a year ago. That's good, I guess.

Food

Breakfast: 8:15 a.m. banana, green grapes, 1/2 oz almonds.
Lunch: 12:30 p.m. @parents' - usual Thanksgiving feast ... urf.
Supper: 6:00 p.m. @ aunt's - lunch redux.

I ate less than usual this year, but it was still more than I needed, for sure. At least I didn't feel completely miserable ... just overly full. After lunch, I dutifully dozed through the football game.
