Easy Run and Fartleks and a Long Drive Home

[June 15]
Run 3.25 [39:54], walk/run 1:1 telephone pole intervals x 6 for 1 mile [13:36], run .75 [8:28]. Walked about 3:30 before and after route. Wanted to take the running part really slow, ~12:00/mile (other than the intervals). During the intervals, the walk part was about 1:27, the run :36.

My new way of eating is going really well, at least until I have to go out to eat. I find that I don't even really enjoy it very much. We went to Outback for Father's day, and I order the Tilapia (which was supposed to be grilled ... more like pan fried) without the sauce (which it came with anyway) and steamed veggies. The veggies were good. The fish would have been great had it actually been grilled and without the sauce. And I ate too much of their bread. I rarely eat bread unless I'm in a restaurant. What I should have done was to just order sides of steamed mix veggies, broccoli, and a plain sweet potato. Must make permanent note to self.

When we got back to my parents' house, we had brownies and ice cream. I cut the brownies to be 16 to a pan & had one with maybe 1/4 cup fat free strawberry ice cream. Tasted good, but I didn't didn't get all that much enjoyment out of it. Instead, I was just thinking about how nice a bowl of Earthbound Farms Spring Mix with blueberries and a clementine would taste.
