A Note About Morning Stats

The morning stats I've been including at the end of the first post of each day are done before I get up and around for much other than the bathroom. I take the pulse and blood pressure while still in bed. I then go to the restroom and then get on the scale. Lastly, after getting dressed, I take my blood glucose/blood sugar reading.

I do not have Type II diabetes, but there is a history of it in my family. I recently purchased a LifeScan OneTouch UltraMini (in green!) just to be able to periodically check my morning blood sugar so I'll notice any trend toward it becoming abnormal. I purchased mine in April, and now you might be able to qualify to get a free OneTouch meter.

I've had my Mabis SmartRead Euro-Styled Digitial Blood Pressure Monitor for a few years now.

Lastly, my scale is a Health o meter BFM950 which I've had for several years. It is no longer available in stores. I've found it to be consistently pretty close (with a couple pounds and a couple % of body fat) with the scales at my doctor's office.
