After checking the weather online, I turned on the TV to my favorite sleeping channel and dozed until about 8:30. Debated not running because getting struck by lightning isn't my lifelong dream. Checked the radar again the next band was still far away, so off I went on a new route.
9:18 a.m. ET
Run 24:30, [run 1:30, walk 1:30] x 5, [run 1:00, walk 1:30] x 2, walk 1:30. Walked about 3:30 before and after route.
Total time: 46:15
Distance: 3.51 miles.
Pace: 13:10
HR Max: 193
HR Ave: 170 [about 85% effort for me ... my max HR is around 200]
Weather at end: 76 degrees, 86% humidity, mostly cloudy, winds SSW@9.
To check my water loss during the run, I weighed myself right when I came in after I ditched the soggy clothes and before drinking anything. Before I ran. I had a clementine and about 8 ounces of water, so I'm counting it as 9 ounces plus 6 ounces (144.4-144.0) or 15 ounces of fluid loss on the run today.
Yesterday, I ate raw veggies and fruit plus a Larabar in the mid-afternoon and a small handful of popcorn before I headed off to bed. Tonight we're going out to eat after the kids' baseball and softball games, so it should be an interesting dietary adventure for me ... Buffalo Wild Wings, I think.
