I slept around 9.5 hours last night. Turned out the light at 11:40, got up to use the toilet around 6:45, woke up for good around 9:20. It wasn't all solid sleep, but it was much needed. In spite of that, I've felt pretty flat all day.
My aunt called around 5 p.m. My mom & step-dad & she had taken my granddad to the emergency room. They'd just gotten there, so I don't know anything about his condition, yet. I'm headed over there shortly. Update@7:50 p.m.: the diagnosis is pneumonia. They are keeping him overnight.

Food
Breakfast: 10:00 a.m. banana, apple, green grapes, 1/2 oz almonds.
Lunch: 12:30 p.m. canned black beans, tomato wedges, celery, nuked red potatoes with a little Smart Balance & salt.
Afternoon Snack: 3:00 p.m. 1/2 small cantaloup.
Supper: 5:35 p.m. bean soup, 1/4 cup strawberry Haagen Dazs.
Evening Snack: 8:15 p.m. @grandparents' - green grapes, Kashi crackers, cherry pie, a little vanilla ice cream.
I made a pot of bean soup this afternoon using a bag of 15 kinds of beans, canned diced tomatoes, onion, garlic, chili powder, lemon juice, and the ham flavor packet that came with the bag of beans. Tastes pretty good.
