My aunt did well at the horse show today, a 1st in the Open Walk Trot class (6 entries) and a 2nd in the Open Halter class (5 entries). Unfortunately, there was not a large turnout for the show. It's a good thing there was a good wind blowing. It would have been miserable otherwise. Current temp at 4:05 p.m.: 91 (93 heat index). Ugh. I still don't miss the Dallas heat. I wish it would realize that and stay down there!
When I got home, I gave my dog, Brutus, another bath. The fleas are fierce this year, and some have hitched a ride inside with me over the past few weeks. I've found a few on my indoor-only cats, too. :-( :-( :-(
Workout
Since I seem to not be fully recovering from my runs, I decided to take a rest day today, do an easy run tomorrow (outside if I can stand the warmth & wind or back on the treadmill if not) and then my long run on Monday morning.
Food
Breakfast: 7:20 a.m. banana, black plum, green grapes, blueberries, 1/2 oz almonds.Morning Snack: 10:00 a.m. 1/2 MET-Rx Protein Plus bar (chocolate roasted peanut).
Lunch: 1:30 p.m. @horse show - BBQ pork sandwich minus the top half of the bun, Diet Coke, 1 chocolate chip cookie.
Afternoon Snack: 4:40 p.m. apple, 6 Triscuits, Laughing Cow Spreadable Lite Swiss.
Supper: 6:45 p.m. steamed eggplant, lima beans, grape tomatoes, 1 oz bag Cool Ranch Doritos.
