Good Run, Bad Forecast

The weather forecast is now calling for a low of only 58-60 Sunday morning and partly cloudy. Yeah, that's WAY better than last year, but the average low for this time of year is a rather pleasant 46. What does it take to catch a break for this race?

Workout

October 9
8:15 a.m. CT
Warm up: .45 mile walk
Distance: 4.1 miles
Duration: 43:22.0
Pace ave: 10:34
HR ave 145, max 172
Cool down: .45 mile walk
@start: 45, 88%, sunny, calm
@end: 55, 79%, sunny, NE@1

What a beautiful morning! Quick warm-up, though. 10 degrees in an hour. I took it out pretty easy and picked up the pace quite a bit over the last mile. Felt really good. No aches other than my heels in the first mile or so. Stupid shoes.

Tomorrow is a rest day, but I still have lots of prepping to do to get ready for company tomorrow night. I need to get to Evansville Friday or Saturday to pick up my race packet and go try on the 8 1/2 Dyads that arrived at Swift Athletics.

Food

Breakfast: 9:30 a.m. banana, apple, red grapes, green grapes, 1/2 oz almonds.
Lunch: 12:30 p.m. big salad - mixed baby green, cauliflower, red bell pepper, carrot, tomato, raisins, 1/2 oz sunflower seeds, Kraft grated parmesan cheese, raspberry balsamic vinegar.
Afternoon Snacks: 3:30 p.m. @grandparents' - ~1 oz Ruffles.
Supper: 6:30 p.m. red potatoes with Smart Balance & salt, black japonica rice, Cheetos, 5 chicken wing pieces (the part of the wing with two bones ... I removed as much skin as I could) I found in the freezer from Harry's in West Lafayette from eons ago.
Evening Snack: 8:45 p.m. 3 Dark Kisses, Diet Coke, Kettle BBQ chips.

This is becoming a monotonous chant: too much junk, too much junk, too much junk.
