I head back to Indiana today. 12:40 p.m. flight. I've had a good trip, but am ready for a couple days alone. "Social fatigue" has set in. Aside from that, I miss my fat cats and old dogs. And family, too!

I didn't want to make this a very hard workout since I need to do a long run tomorrow morning; however, since I was feeling pretty good, I stuck in a "quick" middle lap and slowed down for the third lap. Was plenty hot as evidenced by the lack of recovery on my HR on the last lap despite doing it a minute and half slower.
My back still aches some, but it wasn't too bad on this run.
A curious thing I noticed again today (first time was a couple weeks ago): after the second lap, I noticed I was breathing in 3 and out 2 (steps), which is pretty odd for me. Trying to change back to in 2/out 3 or in 3/out 3 on purposd was really an awkward feeling. Then after about 1/2 mile of the slower running, it just sorta automagically switched back to 2/3 and then to 3/3. This has only happened two times ever. Even in races, when I'm really sucking air, I never breathe in more steps than out ... always 2/3, 2/2, 1/2, 1/1 (dying sprint at the end on the 1/1). No biggie, just a curiosity.
