On The Road Again

I had a really good visit in Dallas, but it's nice to be home again. I drove relatively slowly on the way back as I did on the way down. It took an hour longer than it normally would have, but it seemed I had fewer problems with traffic since most were passing me versus the other way around. I left Farmersville at 6:30 a.m. and arrived back at my house around 7:30 p.m.

I'm about 90% decided to do the White Rock half marathon down there on December 14th. I contemplated the full marathon (White Rock in 2003 was my first), but I only have 6 weeks to get the mileage up, and I don't think that's enough to be really prepared versus just sorta prepared.

Workout

November 3
Today is an official rest day. Hah! As if I haven't had plenty of those lately. I wanted to get back on my regular running schedule, though: T, W, R, Sa, Su with M & F as rest days.

Food

Road trip chow: banana & Diet Coke at Dedra's around 6 a.m. followed by an Egg McMuffin & OJ a couple hours later, Corn Nuts, another Diet Coke, an apple, Uncle Somebody-or-other's sour cream & onion chips, Cracker Jack, a little cauliflower and some red grapes once I got to my parents' place and some Halloween candy while there [had to stop by and pick up my overnight bag I left there when I went to the UK]. Nutrition at its finest!
