Blow Me Away 5 Miles

I had dinner with a friend & his wife at the Lafayette Brewing Company this evening. It was great seeing him again (it'd been lots of years) and meeting his wife (of 10 years!). They brought along their 6-year-old granddaughter. She seemed to be a nice kid.

It's a gorgeous day, so long as you don't mind the wind. I don't. I'd prefer to not run in it being quite so strong, though. All in all, this was a good run. My HR info surprised me considering that it was a major effort running into the wind. I thought it'd be a lot higher. Legs got a definite workout pushing my bulk through the wind and keeping me on the road when a big gust came along. Despite the wind, this was my fastest time for this particular route.
