Otter's Stadium 5K

After the race, I went to the Otter's game at Bosse Field. They were losing by quite a bit when I left at the top of the 9th. The weather was fabulous, almost a little chilly ... in July!

Wow, what a disappointment my time was this evening! I've never raced two days in a row and didn't know what to expect from my body. Plus, it was about 12 degrees warmed this evening that it was yesterday morning. The heat and I don't particularly get along all that well where running is concerned. My heart rate was pretty much the same as yesterday even though I was running quite a bit slower. To make it all seem even worse :-) today's course was a lot easier than yesterday's. Argh.

I checked the race times for a couple people who also ran yesterday just to see how theirs compared. I still think yesterday's race distance was a little short of 5k. In any event, I slowed down more than they did (and they are both older than I by a fair bit).

My watch time (which I used in my stats above) was about 8 seconds faster than the "official" time since it took a little while to cross the actual start line.
