Easy But Achy-Back 5

Workout

August 1, Saturday
8:05 a.m. CT
Warm up: .45 mile walk
Distance: 5.18 miles
Duration: 57:04
Pace ave: 11:01
HR ave 152, max 170
Cool down: .45 mile walk
@start: 64, 97%, partly cloudy, SE@2
@end: 74, 73%, partly cloudy, S@5
Shoes: Green Pegasus 25

This was an easy-paced run, particularly so since it had been less than 12 hours since my run last night, and tomorrow I need to try to get in a long run, preferably > 9 miles. It may be a run/walk effort, though, given my hosed back.

As I expected, my back was achy this morning on the warm-up walk and was very uncomfortable for a good portion of the run, otherwise merely uncomfortable. So, I can run at night when it doesn't hurt, or put up with the pain in the morning. Of course, all my races are in the morning. I've been doing some light stretching before I even get out of bed, but I don't know that it's particularly helpful.

I found 4 cents today!
